About ISS Tracking

Real-time position: The ISS orbits Earth at roughly 420 km (260 miles) altitude, traveling at approximately 28,000 km/h (17,500 mph). It completes one full orbit every 90 minutes, so the data above refreshes every few seconds to keep pace with its rapid movement across the globe.

Visible passes: The ISS is visible to the naked eye when it passes overhead during twilight — after sunset or before sunrise — while the station is still illuminated by the Sun. Passes typically last 2–6 minutes and the ISS appears as a bright, steadily moving point of light without any blinking.
